Overview of Research
Our research focuses on catalytic transformations enabled by main-group element redox processes. By exploiting the ability of main-group species to access multiple oxidation states, we aim to control reactivity via distinct mechanistic modes, including radical, polar, and transition-metal-like processes. Through such redox-mediated interactions, we seek to develop new reactive precursors, uncover new reaction mechanisms, and establish new transformation modes, enabling applications in the synthesis of pharmaceutically relevant molecules and bioactive natural products, thereby advancing the expansion of chemical space in synthesis.
